One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, I met my beautiful, precious daughter for the first time in person. She was so small and helpless. I can't believe it has been a year. That seems like an eternity ago and yet just like yesterday. I got such a small taste of what it was going to be like to be a mother those 4 days that we had together. It is so much better than I ever could have imagined. I never knew that such a tiny person could have brought so much joy and peace into my life. I can't imagine my life without her as a part of it.
Here are a few pictures from last year and then a few that we took this morning at the park. The weather is a little chillier this year than last year.

In hotel lobby.

What a precious face.

Snuggled in her quilt from mami (this is now her favorite quilt)

It sure is cold out here mom.

Bye, bye mami.
OK, I'll come back.
This is so much fun!
These leaves are crunchy.

A few more Halloween Pics

Here are a few more pictures from Halloween night trick-or-treating with our friends. Evvy discovered candy. She wasn't too interested in holding her pumpkin bucket at first and then people started putting stuff in it. She kept trying to put the wrapped candy in her mouth. Decided it didn't taste so good. She must have smelled the chocolate through the wrapper though because on the way back to our friend's house I looked down and there was what I thought a candy bar on her lap. Well, it was just an empty wrapper. The candy bar (Butterfinger) was tightly gripped in her hand with a good portion on her face and on her costume. There was no taking it away from her at that point so I just let her finish it. She also had some peanut butter M&Ms which she really liked. That was it for the candy for her til next year.

Here are the pictures.
